The fishing was a highlight for the boys, who landed some impressively large fish, including sturgeon. We rented rods, which worked well, and arranged bait ahead of time. The lake and grounds are lovely and well cared for, and the gite was comfortable and beautifully stocked. Brigitte and Bernard made us feel so welcome, and the welcome basket and local guides were a nice touch. We appreciated the chance to support local businesses. The kitchen had everything from good-quality pans and dishes to all the gadgets you might need. There were also plenty of toys and games for children and babies, good disability access, and excellent laundry facilities. The beds were very comfortable, with lots of wardrobe space and hangers, and even a hairdryer. The shower was hot and had strong pressure. We didn't use the bikes, but it was thoughtful to have them available. We'd definitely recommend this for a family holiday.

Fishing at the pond was a treat, with plenty of fish and catches including sturgeon and carp. The cottage felt like home and was very comfortable, and we were greeted warmly with treats waiting for us. It's a calm, restful place for a family holiday or time with friends. We highly recommend it.

The pond made the stay for me. After a long break from fishing, I got back to it and caught 3 sturgeon, including a superb 1.30m one, 2 pike, and lots of roach. Pure bliss, and a great pause before our season started again. We stayed at the La Clé des Champs gîte from March 19th to 27th, 2026. The grounds are wonderfully green, peaceful, and rejuvenating, and everything is maintained so well that you feel at home straight away. Nothing was missing. We left refreshed and delighted, and would gladly come back.

The cottage is lovely inside, with comfortable beds, a practical kitchen, and a beautiful view over the pond. It's a charming, quiet place to enjoy nature, away from crowded cities, and the pond is great for fishing.

The fishing really made this stay for us: over 12 days, we caught nearly 200 kilos, including carp, pike, sturgeon, and roach. The cottage is well equipped and welcoming, with a stunning view across the pond. We spent 15 days here, and it was peaceful from the start. The house sits right beside the quiet pond, surrounded by beautiful scenery. A real escape, full of rest and happiness. I'd recommend it to anyone after an authentic break in nature with plenty of fishing.
