The hotel itself was lovely, with comfortable, well equipped rooms and beautiful decor. I especially liked the original rough stone walls in the medieval fortress. The group of 12 international guests had trouble communicating with our waitress, who didn’t speak English. The food looked impressive, but the so called fine dining was only average, and breakfast disappointed too. They did accommodate my gluten free diet, but mostly by taking things off dishes without offering replacements, so my main was just meat in sauce. There wasn’t much choice. Also, the kitchen should know that couscous contains flour, so the amuse bouche with couscous wasn’t gluten free.

This was our second visit, and the hotel is still a fabulous place. It’s been renovated with real taste, and the museum section is especially interesting for anyone who likes history. We had an elegant evening meal and a plentiful breakfast. The staff were friendly and helpful. A stunning place, highly recommended.

Lovely setting where old and new come together, and you can unwind with pets. The cups and spoons could use more attention when it comes to cleanliness.

There’s a castle tour on site with some great views, and even an escape room. The hotel itself is beautiful and full of history, with big comfortable beds. We had an amazing experience.

The kids really enjoyed staying here. The rooms are spacious and have nice beds for them, and hotel guests get a discount for the fort. A perfect base for visiting Sedan.
