L'Ancienne Distillerie

We’ll definitely be back. The pool was clean and big enough for a proper swim, and there was plenty to keep everyone busy, especially families with young children. We stayed in the one-bedroom accommodation, which was really roomy, with a great patio for evening barbecues and a glass or two of wine. Valerie and Nigel were so generous with their help, and knew the area and the best places to visit. Such a lovely place and people, it’s among the best places we’ve stayed.

There were 14 of us at the distillery, and the site really impressed us with its size, amenities, and peaceful feel. We spent our days in all sorts of ways: bike rides to pick up croissants, time by the pool, and visits to town for microbreweries, bars, and restaurants. We also took day trips into cognac, and the games “room” is more like a games hall. The hosts were always around to answer questions and help us plan activities. Can’t recommend a trip here enough.

Nigel & Valerie made us feel welcome from the start, and we found them both so friendly and helpful. Our family of four had a wonderful week in the two-bedroom gite. It was spacious, very well equipped, and beautifully maintained, with lovely comfortable beds. There’s lots of information about places to visit nearby, as well as a brilliant laundry room, a fantastic pool area, gardens, and a games room. We definitely hope to return someday! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐😎

The gardens felt magical, and the yoga room was wonderful. We hosted a Yoga & Meditation Retreat at L'ancienne Distillerie, and the venue had everything we could have wanted. Valerie and Nigel were approachable and accommodating from the start, helping with preparations and thinking of the little details as well as the big ones. Our yogis enjoyed relaxing in the many quiet corners around the property, and loved being able to ride the complimentary bikes through the vineyards. The accommodation was warm and welcoming, and we really appreciated the homemade treats and garden produce. A five-star experience from start to finish, and we’re already looking forward to next time.
