The breakfast was plentiful, though it felt a bit chaotic because staff were short-handed. The room was luxurious, but there was no proper shower, just a handheld one over the bath. The exterior was shocking and made the hotel look closed or no longer operating. Inside, though, helpful staff greeted us in an impressive foyer. It's a lovely hotel with friendly staff doing their best despite management cutbacks.

The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were nice. Breakfast was OK, with an egg maker but no omelette, a few breads, two kinds of cheese, and two or three kinds of salami. There's no air conditioning in the room, so keep that in mind if you're booking for hot days.

We only stayed one night, but it was a pleasure. The hotel feels nice and individual, the service staff were very friendly, and breakfast was delicious.

I chose the set menu, but there were hours between courses. The service was inattentive and rather dry, and some food pairings were unusual, like French pâté with lemon jelly. Disappointing, and I wouldn't recommend it.

The dirtiest hotel I've ever stayed in, and the rooms even came with wildlife. I'm never coming back or recommending it to anyone I care about.
