We booked a meal at the hotel on our first night, but found it a little expensive, with only a few dishes and no vegetarian choices. The breakfast buffet, by contrast, had a good range of hot and cold food. Our room was clean, and we could see the town in the distance. The hotel was friendly and made a good base for our two-night November stop on a tour of France. We chose it for its location and off-road parking. The beautiful town of Semur-en-Auxois is walkable, though the road down and back up is steep, good exercise! We'd recommend it for a short visit.

The team were very friendly, and the place felt quiet and safe. Breakfast was a good quality buffet with plenty of variety.

After long days working outside in sun and rain, it was so comfortable and homey to come back here. I stayed three nights at this nice hotel in a small town, not too far from the castle. I had the vegan and vegetarian meals, which were creative and good. I visited in May 2024.

Our room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were helpful and friendly. The hotel was well placed for visiting different attractions. My only complaint was breakfast: on a couple of mornings the scrambled eggs and bacon were gone by 7:45 and weren't replenished. Another morning, a group of business travellers had eaten all the ham.

The service was very good, and the rooms were decent. Getting to the hotel is difficult without a car. Breakfast was just okay and didn't offer much variety.
