The staff were really kind, and we’ll be back. We’d read the cleanliness concerns and had some of our own, but everything turned out perfect. For a short stay near Marseilles, Lemon Hotel is the best choice. The price is sensational.

Service was great, but the room felt like a prison cell. I’m pretty sure a bug nibbled me there, too. You get what you pay for, and breakfast is NOT included.

The smell was disturbing and the staff were rude. I’d booked four nights to watch the rugby, but left early and checked into a normal hotel instead. I can only blame myself for booking so quickly. Never again!

That shared shower was filthy, and the walls weren’t clean either. The bed surround gave the room a full-on prison-cell vibe. There was duct tape on the sink, which looked like someone before me had used it as a toilet. It wouldn’t drain, backed up, and smelled all night. Truly the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Seriously, avoid it.

Free parking is a plus, and the room is quiet and air-conditioned despite being very small. It has everything you need for a night before continuing on your way. For the price, it’s okay.
