Mas de la Croix in Sernhac was a disastrous experience. The website says nothing about the noise, which feels close to misleading. The A9 motorway is only 300 metres away, with traffic day and night, and there’s a roundabout on the D 986 right beside the farmhouse. Engine noise comes from every direction. The owners say they can no longer hear the motorway. Inside, there’s no comfort or sense of style. After a miserable night, we were served two sachets of instant coffee instead of a decent filter coffee. All this for 70 euros, payable in cash. My advice is to run!

The garden is superb and feels wonderfully natural. We felt at home in the comfortable space, with its gentle atmosphere, beautiful bedding, and perfect hygiene. The welcome was warm and attentive, and breakfast was generous and delicious. Thank you, madam and sir. Good luck, and see you soon!

Breakfast was pleasant, with a lovely view over the park. This guesthouse has a comfortable, intimate feel, and we were warmly welcomed by a charming, discreet couple. We recommend it and would happily return.

What a lovely way to start our vacation. The countryside was peaceful, with trees and flowers all around. Our warm, welcoming host showed us to a spacious, comfortable room that was impeccably clean. We settled in straight away to recover from the journey, and the bedding was very comfortable. We had a delicious breakfast before setting off, and it filled us right up. We’re planning to stop here again on the way back. Thanks, Geoffrey. See you soon!
