A l'hôte bout de forges

The restaurant sits in peaceful Normandy countryside, with open fields and pastures all around and no noise to speak of. We were there on a lovely sunny day, and the welcome was genuinely warm. The menu was beautifully put together, with a broad choice of specialties, and the wine cellar was just as impressive. Everything felt spot on, right down to the many kind little touches and the friendly smiles. We were won over, and next time we have guests, we’ll try the restaurant and hotel package. Thanks for being so kind.

The homemade meals using local produce were a real treat, and there are plenty of rooms, which makes the place well suited to groups and events. The hosts are warm, attentive, and quick to respond to what you need, so it feels like home. It’s an authentic place with a fantastic welcome. I’d come back in a heartbeat if I get the chance.

We had a quiet setting and parking for all the group’s vehicles, which worked well during our paragliding training. The video equipment and suitable meeting room were really useful for the sessions too. I stayed at the guesthouse from Friday, May 18th to Monday, May 21st, 2018. The welcome was excellent, both professional and friendly, the food was authentic, and the rooms were clean. Just note that they have double beds. I highly recommend the place.

The gîte was very good value, and I had a great meal. I stayed one night as well, and honestly, I’ve got no complaints at all. You might even run into Lionel, but I’ll leave that as a surprise.
