We booked well in advance, then realized months before the trip that we wouldn’t be able to go. We cancelled, but the owner kept the entire advance payment and gave us nothing back. The earlier description has been deleted, so here’s what happened.

You’ll need a car to stay here. The nearest shops are about 5 km away, and the last 500 m to the house are rough enough that an SUV or similar would be preferable. That said, the location works really well for driving out on excursions. The holiday home is beautiful, with a lovely garden and heated pool. One star off because on cold days the only place to eat indoors is a small counter. The big dining table is outside, so it’s usable only when the weather’s decent.
