The café gourmet was really good, and the muscat they recommended went perfectly with our meal. We both chose asparagus dishes, one with morels in puff pastry and the other with salmon, and they were delicious. A place I’d recommend.

The terrace looks out over the view in the attached picture. We stayed in the very roomy apartment above the grocery shop and restaurant, which easily fit six adults and a child. It has two separate toilets and two separate showers, plus a good-sized kitchen with plenty of equipment. Parking was no problem. You can pick up basic groceries downstairs, with a bakery and butcher just around the corner. The village is quiet, and a short drive gets you to lots of interesting spots and wineries in the area.

The lunchtime crowd made it clear this place is popular with locals, so booking ahead was a good idea. Service was prompt, and the staff made the meal run smoothly. We shared a charcuterie plate, then had choucroute, beef au gros sel, and bouchée à la reine. Everything had a lovely balance of flavor and texture, and the portions were generous. We finished with croustillant au chocolat, torche au marron, and profiteroles. All of it was delicious, and the food was even better than we expected.

We used to come for the specialty, but the à la carte kitchen can be slow. Probably best to stick to the set lunch menu.

The WC was so clean you could almost eat there 😀. The food is fantastic, with plenty of regional dishes. I recommend the Cordon Blue.
