Virginie and the team made getting around for the nearby wedding much easier, sorting out taxis and other arrangements before we arrived and while we were there. The hotel itself was peaceful and clean, with useful extras like a microwave that made it feel almost like an apartment. It’s close to the station, a large supermarket, pharmacy, patisserie and other shops, yet tucked down a quiet little street. We didn’t get a chance to eat at the restaurant, though the menu and reviews looked great. Virginie even arranged wine with a lovely meat and cheese platter while we waited for our train. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely return if we’re in the area.

The place looks especially lovely in the evening. They serve interesting regional specialities, and the wine pairings are great too. I’d go for the daily menu and ask the waiter to suggest a wine.

I always look forward to coming back here. I’ve been visiting for years, for lunches and dinners on the wisteria-covered back terrace. Virginie and her staff are so welcoming, and the setting is gorgeous. The menu changes with the seasons, with classic Périgourdin ingredients often given a twist, and the food is excellent. I’d recommend the homemade foie gras to start, with local sweet dandelion wine in it. You can also get that wine by the glass.

We’ve been coming since 2010 and have never been disappointed. Dinner on the shaded terrace is lovely, and the service is friendly and laid-back. The food was delicious from beginning to end. Do try the house cocktail: raspberry liquor, dandelion wine and champagne make a wonderfully refreshing summer drink. 10/10. If you’re anywhere nearby, go.

Dinner with friends turned into a really memorable evening. Every course was delicious, and the dessert was out of this world. The two waitresses were friendly and knew their stuff, and the service was excellent. When it’s warm, the terrace under the 150 year pld wisteria is a must, it gives you shade and adds so much character. Highly recommended!
