A l'Orée du Bois

The restaurant serves filling Alsatian food, and it was well prepared. Service was quick and efficient. The hotel itself is quiet, clean, and looks out over the countryside, though some of the furniture feels a little dated. It’s a traditional, family-run place, with the husband cooking and the wife in the dining room. The reception could offer more suggestions for things to see and do, especially walks, alongside the promotional brochures.

Chef André really brings the food to life, making the dishes both lovely to look at and delicious. The staff were helpful, friendly, and polite, and the rooms were comfortable and very clean. It’s a family-run hotel and restaurant in a beautiful setting, with very good value for money.

We’ll definitely be back. The service was so friendly, and the dishes were excellent and beautifully presented. It’s a great restaurant in a green setting at the foot of the Platzerwasel, with a lovely terrace overlooking the Petit Ballon.

Surrounded by nature, it’s a really peaceful spot to unwind. The welcome was wonderfully warm, and the food was good too.
