Aroha Chambres d'Hôtes

We only stayed briefly, but it was lovely. The old priory has a magical, daydreamy feel, helped along by the rustic decor. Our room was spacious and very clean, and we slept well in the quiet. The owner wasn’t there when we arrived, but she’d left clear instructions for us. Breakfast was excellent, with fresh, quality ingredients. We’ll be back.

A chance stop turned into pure joy, with lovely surprises and a special welcome. I’ll leave you to discover that part for yourself. Everything was impeccable. Thank you for such a lovely time.

We slept wonderfully in a really spacious room at this beautifully decorated former priory. The rooms have a lovely rustic, floral style. There were board games to play, and breakfast was generous and made with quality products. Julie welcomed us with a sunny smile.

I used a gift box at this place, which I hadn’t known before. The building is a little unusual, and we weren’t sure where the entrance was because part of the street-facing area is under construction. I like old places, so the rooms and furniture appealed to me. The room itself was nicely decorated, but I barely slept in the “yellow room” at the top left of the stairs. I’ve never had a mattress like that. In the middle of the night, I woke up feeling springs or something sinking into my stomach. Other guests I spoke with in the morning thought their bedding was good, though. There was no TV or mosquito net. The garden was full of mosquitoes, so we kept the window shut, and with no air conditioning or even a small fan, it was warm. Breakfast was a real disappointment too: no bread, just soft, soggy bread and a shop-bought chocolate chip brioche. I don’t think I’ll return.
