The apartments stay fairly cool even without air conditioning, and they’re spacious. We had a wonderful holiday here. The pool is shared with others, which was very welcome, and the surroundings are stunning. Both French and Spanish beaches are still only a 20-40 minute drive away. The tenants are friendly and very helpful.

Johanna was a lovely host, and everything was just right. The little house suited two people perfectly, with a terrace at the front and back, our own sun loungers, and everything we needed. The pool, surrounded by plants, felt heavenly. Thank you 🙏

The owners of Residence de la Rasclose, Hanneke and Teun, are friendly and dedicated, while keeping things relaxed. We’ll definitely recommend staying here, and hope to return ourselves. The apartments are beautiful, with thoughtfully landscaped terraces and gardens. The lovely, spacious pool has a stylish, well-kept garden around it. This is a relaxing place to stay and a great base for trips to Spain, including Barcelona and Figueres, to towns like Ceret, Collioure and Perpignan, and to the coast. Le Racou’s coarse sand beach is about a 20-minute drive, while the fine sand at St. Cyprien is around 30 minutes away. The river behind the small complex dries up in summer, but you can take an adventurous walk along its bed. Sorède is at the foot of the Pyrenees, so there are lots of ways to get active.

The pool is superb, and the mountain setting feels like a little paradise, while beaches and tourist attractions are still nearby. What really made it special for us were the owners, Johanna and her husband. They’re incredibly friendly and welcoming, and made us feel at home. A wonderful place for a stay with family or friends, highly recommend it!

My husband and I stayed here from July 4th to 11th. The Rasclose is tucked into a quiet valley, and it worked really well as a base for trips to nearby villages, towns and the beach. The owners are friendly and helpful, always happy to chat. We’d highly recommend a visit.
