We left within an hour of arriving, after finding another place that was excellent. The chalet was so awful that we couldn't stay. Before that, we had waited about 20 minutes at the property office, which was unattended and dirty, with piles of laundry, before a young man showed us to it. The accommodation and facilities were advertised misleadingly. We had questioned the booking after hearing that 90 young adults had booked for a sports weekend, but were told only after the full-refund deadline had passed. We booked through Airbnb and reported the problem right away. Airbnb supported us and issued a full refund within a few hours. We did not ask the owners for a refund in exchange for a poor review, and we weren't asked to leave. We sought help directly from Airbnb. The owners didn't provide Airbnb with substantial evidence within the allowed time, and Airbnb refunded us. I can provide the correspondence, which contradicts the owners' response here; the communication is also visible in the photo below. Valerie, you and your team are charlatans. What goes around comes around. This property and its owners are a disgrace. Be warned by the one-star reviewers. The high ratings look fake to me, as the people leaving multiple-star reviews seem to be one-time reviewers and anything but legitimate.

The whole family had a lovely vacation. The setting was beautiful and peaceful, with enough activities alongside the chance to relax, so everyone was happy.

The grounds at Domaine des Bories were a real treat, all lush nature and a sense of calm away from everyday bustle. The children especially loved Eliott the donkey and the other charming animals. Our stay was comfortable too. The accommodation was spotless and nicely decorated, and the hosts made us feel at home as soon as we arrived. Staff were thoughtful throughout. We enjoyed the lovely breakfast, and having delicious pizzas in the cozy shared areas was another highlight. The heated pools were great for unwinding. Domaine des Bories felt like a little natural retreat for families, couples, or friends. We had an unforgettable visit and would gladly come back.

We paid a deposit plus one month's rent, 1700 Euros, after moving from Canada. One night there was horrible, and this was December 7, 2024, in low season. We found black mold throughout, mouse droppings, cobwebs, spiders, and layers of hardened grime. Christian, the superintendent, told my husband he thought the mold had been painted over and said he knew about the mice. There were only three kiddie cups and no ice, so I couldn't make a drink. The lock on the second entrance door was broken. The toilet paper dispenser was broken on the floor, with just a quarter roll left. We were given sheets in a bag to make our own bed. The pillows smelled, and one white pillow was brown. Bulbs were missing in many places. The couch wasn't the sectional shown in the pictures, and the TV was ancient. The bathtub had mold and loose grout. When I went to get a plate for reheated food, the top two plates were stuck together. I can't make this up, and I could go on. One night cost 1700 Euros. This was theft. An anonymous reply from “Team Domaine des Bories” said they'd refund our 850 Euro deposit, but it never happened. We have all the photos to support this review and have started a lawsuit; we're mindful of defamation. The files are too large right now, but we'll post the pictures. I have strong morals and expect some decency from people running a business.

The area is absolutely stunning, and the cottages are comfortable and really spacious. We had a great trip here with our whole family from Milano. Many thanks to Valérie, Christian, and the team for making us feel so welcome. We'd recommend it and will definitely be back soon! Giovanni and Martina
