Gîtes Coeur de Lot

Such a shame, because the location is good. The host lives right next door and kept coming back every day to complain about noise and our use of the pool and lawn. He wouldn't show us how to switch on the pool lights, saying it would cost him electricity. He also took €250 from our deposit, saying we'd used too much electricity and had broken a plastic chair worth €20. Don't stay here if you want to feel free.

You can see the stars on a clear night since there’s no light pollution, and the area is lovely, with lots of charming medieval villages. The gîte is cosy, the pool is large, and the hosts are very warm. It’s the only house on the hill, so it’s very quiet. My one complaint is the bed: it’s small and really uncomfortable. Otherwise, I’d have given it five stars.

The cottage has everything needed for cooking and is very comfortable, with free Wi-Fi, Netflix, and large TVs. It sits on a hillside among lush greenery, with birdsong throughout the day, so the place feels peaceful and charming, almost like you’re alone in the world. Even so, amenities are only a tenth of the way away. Philippe, the owner and a delightful, welcoming neighbor, made the stay lovely. I highly recommend it.

The cottage had everything we needed for a fantastic stay. My friends and I had a wonderful time there. It’s beautiful, and so is the surrounding landscape. We felt completely immersed in nature, and it was really peaceful.
