Domaine De L'atelier

The friendly owner answered our questions quickly, and the air conditioning in every room was a nice touch. The apartment itself is beautiful and simply furnished, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Upstairs are three bedrooms and a toilet. Downstairs, there’s a good kitchen with an induction cooktop, oven, microwave, large fridge-freezer and dishwasher, plus a pleasant breakfast bar between the kitchen and living room. The bathroom is excellent, with soap dispensers, a toilet, an illuminated mirror and a hairdryer. A shower screen and curtain would improve it, and we would have liked a larger smart TV than the one by the sofa, since we could only watch French channels. Soultzmat is a small town, and we were there for a lovely village festival. Across the street there’s a charming terrace and a nice restaurant. There are two charging stations in town where you can charge using your own cable inside the unit. A good Carrefour and a bakery are within walking distance. We found Souktmatt a perfect base for day trips to the Trois Ballons Vosges, Basel, Mulhouse, Colmar, Strasbourg and Rouffach, as well as the beautiful villages in between that we visited.
