B&B HOTEL Morlaix

The room was basic but clean, with a comfortable bed and a decent shower. Outside light came through and disturbed me, though. A blackout blind alongside the curtain would help.

We picked this place because we’ve stayed at B&B Hotels elsewhere when we wanted something cheap and perfectly usable. This room was clean and everything worked, though an extra 10 cm of space would have helped. I’d also have liked somewhere secure to lock our bikes, which would have improved my rating. There was quite a bit of service traffic noise in the morning, but that’s to be expected given the location. It’s hard to pay less and still get a workable stay. It’s a clean budget option, though you can get better if you’re willing to spend more.

The management at the Morlaix B&B hotel were lovely and attentive, and the outside looks smart in the usual B&B corporate style. The beds were comfortable, everything was very clean, and the staff were cheerful and helpful. But the building is a concrete box with no active ventilation in the rooms. I’m writing this at 2 a.m. because it’s 24°C inside, while Meteo France says it’s 18°C outside. I opened the door for some air and got blasted by the floodlights. My sarcastic solutions are to flatten the place with a bulldozer or rebrand it as a second-tier B&B Hotel with its own identity, so it doesn’t bring down the other fantastic B&B locations. Sorry for going on. I’m going to close my eyes and try to catch the sleep that’s been avoiding me.

We fit our family of five in the room. It had a big double bed and two single beds upstairs. Everything was clean and tidy, and the staff were kind and helpful.
