I've never come across such an unfriendly, arrogant atmosphere in a hotel. We weren't even greeted when we arrived. The reception was already hard to find because the signs were poor, and whenever we passed it, we got the feeling we weren't welcome. This is a hotel guests pay to stay in, not somebody's private home. The service should be more professional. Otherwise the whole place loses its value, which is high anyway.

The location is great, but the place feels dated and has some odd procedures. They took a €250 damage deposit, which is taking ages to come back. Before checkout, a man came to inspect the room and looked under the shower drain and inside the pillowcases. I've never had that happen anywhere else. It felt like Fawlty Towers.

There are kitchen utensils and everything else you need in the rooms. The hotel feels historic from the outside, though the interior is a little older. Nice place.

The train station is right next door. There were no mosquito screens, the A/C wasn't working, and service was little to none. They weren't accommodating when an urgent situation came up.

Great spot, just two minutes from the station.
