There are lovely walks nearby, and cycling along the canal is especially good. The bedroom is roomy, with a clean private bathroom and a comfortable shower. Our caring hostess put out a generous breakfast. It’s a nice B&B, and the price felt very fair for what we got.
That river swim after a full day on the bike really stood out. We spent one night at Stang Korvenn while cycling the Brest-Nantes canal, and it was such a peaceful, beautiful place. Kathinka and Mike were wonderful hosts. It would work just as well for a week exploring the area as for a quick stop along the way. I’d definitely recommend it.
We’ve been back to Stang Korrvenn three times, which probably says it all. Bryan makes a great omelette for breakfast with freshly laid eggs, and Jilly’s preserves are lovely too, including honey from there 🐝. The hosts are great, and the gardens and setting feel idyllic. Such a good find.
We shared the gîte with friends, and it would be just as suited to a family holiday. The River Aulne is right beside it, with the Finistère coast about 45mins' drive away, plus countryside and local towns to explore. It’s easy to reach while still feeling tucked away.
The garden is lovely, and the hosts are super friendly. The surrounding area is great too. Such an amazing place, I’d definitely recommend it!
