The breakfast counter had notices saying you had to eat there and were forbidden from taking food away. In 44 days of cycling through four countries, I’d never seen that before. So, since I’d only eaten a croissant, I took an orange, an apple, and a baguette with cheese when she wasn’t looking. At check-in I waited a long time at reception while the woman, most probably the owner, worked on calculations in the dining area. She was impatient and condescending as she showed me to my room. Dinner was so-so, and the dining room felt like a sauna.

We arrived too late to check in because of traffic, but the hardworking owner or manager welcomed us with a friendly smile. There was a small ant problem, which was dealt with right away when we reported it. The place is in a beautiful area, though you need transport to get around. Aldi supermarket is a 2 min. walk away.

The parking is fenced and secure, with the entrance gate locked at night, so you can feel sure your vehicle is safe. The room was nice and clean, breakfast was good, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Everything was uncomplicated, and the price-quality comparison is outstanding.
