I’m still here for my second night, but the first one was awful. The room lights wouldn’t switch off, so it stayed bright all night. I asked for help early in the morning, but nobody came until 2:30 pm. They wouldn’t move me to another room either, even though the problem was the hotel’s fault.

The fire outside meant we couldn’t get back into our rooms until well after midnight. Staff eventually restored the electricity, but we had to get ready for bed by phone torch, and couldn’t charge our phones overnight. It was also extremely hot, 35 degrees Celsius outside and still above 25 at night. There’s no air conditioning, so we had to keep the window open, letting in main-road traffic noise from around 6am. Breakfast was very mediocre: no eggs, and the fruit salad was basically apples. Many tables hadn’t been cleared when we arrived, and none of the breakfast staff greeted us.

Traffic noise kept coming through at night, and the rooms need renovating. The breakfast was fine. There’s no air-conditioning, so I wouldn’t recommend staying here in summer.
