Le Val D'or

I could barely sleep because noise from the bar travelled through the corridors. I finally fell asleep around 2 a.m., then a loud employee showed up at 6. Breakfast was alright, better than I expected. Getting into the room was a problem every single time. At check-in, I waited at the desk, only to learn I had to go to the bar in another room to get someone's attention. Then the employee struggled with my lock and said it was "a bit broken". I couldn't open the door myself at all, and neither could the people I was staying with, so each time I had to go back to the bar, ask for help, and wait. The room was dirty. There was a lighter in the middle of the floor when I arrived, and it looked like it hadn't been vacuumed. Hair and dust made my socks grey. There was pee on the toilet seat, black marks on the towels, and what looked like a footprint on the bath mat. The blanket on the bed had a stain, and the cleaner kept putting that same stained blanket back when making the bed. The room had no charm or decoration and felt worse than a hospital room. I stayed three nights. Horrible hotel, avoid it.
