I like these quirky French hotels for their style, even when they're basic and practical. This one was a little worn, but nothing alarming. The balcony access had a new grippy floor and the bathrooms seemed fairly recently renovated. The lid on my kettle was a bit wonky, though it may just have been that one. Reception staff were polite and friendly. The restaurant gets average reviews, but there are plenty of other places to eat nearby.

We barely slept because of a loud banging noise outside, possibly from a nearby factory. The room was damp, there were biting insects, and the sink drained poorly. We left exhausted and much earlier than planned, feeling we'd wasted our money. Pay more for somewhere you can breathe.

The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the clean, comfortable rooms did the job for our overnight stop on the way to our main destination. We booked two; both were basic but suited our needs. We ate at the restaurant, choosing simple steak and chips and omelettes with chips, while the children liked the dessert buffet. We'd consider staying somewhere like this again.

Our room was fine for a single night, but it was a handicap room and had a sewage smell, perhaps because it hadn't been used for a while. Letting the shower run for a bit seemed to clear it. With the third bed pulled out from underneath the double, there wasn't much room.

A handy overnight stop while travelling south, close to the Autoroute but quiet enough for a good night's sleep. The room was very clean and had a walk-in shower. The restaurant was bright and inviting, with a basic value menu.
