The owner drove us to Geneva airport himself when our taxi failed to show up. Such lovely staff, too. The venue and food were fantastic, and our room was very comfortable. We’ll be back.

The food was simply bad. My salmon tartare had no taste, and we didn’t dare eat the seafood main course. The lights went out three times during our visit, so we couldn’t see the food. That’s the only reason I’ve given one star. I can’t recommend eating here.

We were left at reception for about 15 minutes before check-in, though the staff were friendly enough. The room was okay, but dated, and the bathroom badly needs updating. Outside, the terrace was lovely, with an amazing view of Lake Annecy, and the food was delicious.

At that exorbitant price, I expected much better. The decor felt tired and outdated, with flock wallpaper in the bathroom and very worn carpet. We even got free cobwebs. Wi-Fi only worked if we went downstairs.

The location is good, which seems to account for most of the price, but the value just isn’t there. Our room was small, the cleaning wasn’t great, and the shower was broken and mostly gave cold water. The staff were nice, but the stay was disappointing.
