Domaine du Lac de Sorin

The houses look nice, and the setting is beautiful and peaceful, but the stay was very disappointing. We booked through booking.com because the listing said there was air conditioning. That turned out to be untrue, and it was a key reason we chose it with temperatures above 30 C and a baby with us. The pool was also closed, reportedly because of Covid19, with no advance notice. Other properties didn't seem to have the same issue. We were about 20 minutes by car from the ocean, with no air conditioning or pool. When we went to look, the pool appeared neglected, with a dead frog and two dead rats floating in it. The owners weren't understanding and blamed booking.com. We paid the full price, then were asked for another €150 to clean the apartment after our two-week stay. That fee hadn't been listed, and we expected professional cleaning, especially during Covid19. The kitchen had only three plates, two forks and three knives, with no cleaning supplies. There were lots of mosquitoes, so we bought nets for the windows and beds because we had to keep the windows open at night without air conditioning. Our baby was bitten about 35 times the first night. We found the hosts extremely rude, especially since they were asking for more than agreed while failing to provide what was in the booking. The location is great, but the place is poorly run and too expensive for what it offers. We definitely wouldn't return.
