The pool was well cared for, with sun loungers and shades, and we really enjoyed our stay. The setting was beautiful and peaceful, and the room was very comfortable. I did miss having a minibar, though drinks were available directly from the host. The staff were very friendly and easy to chat with. Sadly, dinner wasn’t available.

We loved our three nights at Domaine de l'Helion in Taradeau in July 2016. The host was kind and welcoming, and breakfast was perfect. On hot summer days the clean pool was just right for cooling off. Highly recommended.

I canceled my booking through the platform’s flexible free-cancellation policy because the pool couldn’t be used after 10:00 AM, which was checkout time. The owner then charged me 15 euros and called to say, in a haughty, aggressive, rude tone, that he wouldn’t refund it. I told him the charge was illegal under the free-cancellation policy, but he said that was what I got for using big platforms, that he could do what he wanted, and that he would never refund me. He also said I had no right to cancel arbitrarily. Taking money from potential customers’ accounts like this is intrusive and, in my view, illegal. I consider this man a major swindler. No matter how beautiful the place is, I strongly recommend avoiding an establishment like this, which reflects badly on service and tourism.
