Les chambres du Château Rasque

I haven’t been to the chateau or vineyard yet, but I love the wine and often import it to the UK. I’m hoping to visit next year. The team did everything they could to help sort out a mistake I made with my order. Thanks very much.

Our group of twelve came to Chateau Rasque for a visit and tasting, but the way we were treated was shockingly rude. Even using the restroom became an issue. Despite asking politely, we were repeatedly told no, and the host said only “the boss” could use the facilities. It left our guests uncomfortable and turned what could have been a highlight of the trip into a bad experience. I’ve worked in the travel industry as a company owner and CEO, hosting groups across all seven continents, and this was among the worst hospitality we’ve encountered. Basic respect and courtesy should be part of dealing with guests. Chateau Basque’s treatment of our group felt blatantly disrespectful and unprofessional, and it reflects badly on what otherwise seems like a charming, picturesque place. I hope Chateau Rasque and similar establishments take this as a reason to improve. For fellow travelers, especially group tours, I’d think twice before visiting Chateau Basque. There are plenty of other places where guests can feel valued and have their needs met. Until the staff show more respect, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere for a tour and tasting.

Great wine in a wonderful setting.

The guest rooms at Château Rasque are magnificent, and Alicia looked after us throughout, always attentive to what we needed. We had an incredible stay, starting with a warm welcome and an exceptional wine tasting. It was an authentic, unforgettable experience, and we recommend it without hesitation.
