The restaurant had a lively feel on Tuesday evening, and the regional food was good. My generous vegetarian meal was delicious: goat cheese salad, scrambled eggs with mushrooms cooked just right, then a simply baked apple. The hotel is old-fashioned and not very updated, but it’s perfectly fine and has a nostalgic charm. My bedroom window looked out over the river and mountains. The price was fair, and the place is welcoming to dogs and people. I look forward to returning.

The host was incredibly helpful, even arranging garage storage across the road for our motorcycles. Dinner at the hotel was tasty and good value, and the location is right in the centre. We stayed one night in early June in a four-person room. It was pleasant but dated, while the shower room and separate toilet were practical. Great value for the area, and I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a budget-friendly stay.

The food was okay, but the waiter Pascal spoiled the evening for everyone, including the other tables. He was rude, insolent, unprofessional, and unwelcoming. If Pascal is working, stay away. Angelique, the other waitress, saw the chaos and did her best to help at several tables. Well done, Angelique. I’m French and could write this in both languages, but this person isn’t worth any more of my time. I can’t believe the business employs someone like him.

The hotel is in a great spot by the river, right in the city centre, and the rooms are comfortable. The issue was at reception: they wouldn’t honor the price shown on Booking.

We’ve dined here before and will come back again. The venue is clean, tastefully decorated, and has a lovely river view. Staff are attentive, and the food is nicely presented and cooked just right.
