We really enjoyed our stay at this charming Chambres d'hote. The host served a delicious, nicely presented breakfast with homemade cakes, yogurts and other products. The house and garden are beautiful, and it’s peaceful there. It’s also well placed for visiting Arles and Avignon. Tarascon is less touristy, but its old town and medieval castle are worth a look too.

Talia the springer kept us amused, and the peaceful surroundings were wonderful. Anita and Pierre were fantastic hosts, made us feel at home and were happy to help with anything. We stayed at Mas Allard for a week and couldn’t have asked for a nicer place. Breakfast was superb, with local and homemade produce in a typical continental spread. Local amenities are within easy reach. We’d highly recommend it and will definitely be back.

We were unbelievably upset by how we were treated, and ended up leaving early. We arrived with a guide dog for my blind mother, without telling the owners beforehand, and were immediately made to feel like second-class citizens. My attached complaint letter explains what happened. Anita says she would have rejected our booking if she’d known about the guide dog, though she seems to think that isn’t discrimination. For fairness, I’ve attached my complaint to Anita and her response in English and French so people can judge for themselves. I wouldn’t recommend staying here if you’re disabled.

We had a lovely stay. The rooms were very comfortable and breakfast was superb. Our hosts were charming and helpful, and the location is idyllic, right at the entrance to Tarascon.

Thank you to Anita for welcoming us so warmly and sharing such useful tips for exploring the region. The setting at Mas Allard is stunning, and the place is ideal for a relaxing stay in this beautiful area. We loved the decor, furnishings and amenities, including the swimming pool and jacuzzi. We’d happily come back.
