We could walk into the town centre easily, with plenty of restaurants close by, including Burger King and Buffalo Grill just across the road. The room had a double bed with an upper single bunk, but the bunk wasn't made up, and there's not much headroom, so be careful. The beds were comfortable, and the room had both air-conditioning and heating. The bathroom had an all-in-one soap and shampoo in the shower but no sink soap, so we used that to wash our hands. Paper cups were provided for brushing teeth. There’s a microwave and vending machine for drinks and snacks, and breakfast costs extra. We didn't try it. Parking was the real headache. The spaces are oddly angled, people park badly, and when we got back after 10 pm, a Sixt hire van was occupying three spaces and two cars were taking up three more, so I had to use an electric charging spot. It's a basic hotel, pretty much as the name suggests.

Breakfast had a really good spread, with fruit, juice, croissants, cereal and milk, plus coffee. I stayed in a room for four and found it very good. Everything was clean, and the shower and heater worked well. Nice place to stay!

The receptionist was really friendly and even spoke German, which was nice. I liked the hotel, but calling the reception cost nearly as much as a night's stay because they use a special-rate number. I had to be on the phone for six minutes. They should switch to a regular number.

I expected less because of the budget label, but the room was spacious, the facilities were decent, and breakfast was available. Sure, the fittings are on the cheap side, but I've paid a lot more in Paris for somewhere much worse.

The place was clean throughout, and the staff were friendly and had a good sense of humor. For a low-budget hotel, it was what I expected, and we had a really nice stay.
