L'Ecrin Du Ségala B&B

We’ve stayed with Valerie and Christian several times, and it’s always a pleasure. They’re generous, warm hosts, and Valerie’s meals are delicious, with local food to try. The rooms have always been clean and welcoming. We’ve recommended L'Ecrin to friends. It’s a lovely place to stay, beautifully situated, and we highly recommend it.

A great place, with a great host.

Christian gave us a warm, friendly welcome. We spent the night in the gypsy caravan and really enjoyed the experience. It’s a peaceful spot for a relaxing break. The dinner basket and breakfast basket were both adequate.

The caravan is in an ideal spot for the quiet, soothing stay we wanted, and the welcome was friendly enough. It’s fairly well equipped, but the cleanliness was minimal, with lots of cobwebs. The mattress was so hard that we barely slept, and we chose not to stay a second night. The food was the main disappointment. The packed lunch felt expensive for what it included: stale bread, two small frozen leek tarts, three slices of sausage each, one slice of cheese, and a tiny piece of stale cake. Breakfast was very meager for two, with a fairly hard piece of bread, three stale brioche slices, and two small jars of jam. There were no homemade or local products.
