Lunch today was a lovely surprise. The food was excellent, and the owner was helpful and funny. His English was good, and he made us feel more confident speaking ours. The place is peaceful, right beside a quiet stream. I imagine staying here would be nice too.

There were 12 of us, and everyone was happy with the meal they chose.

The owner's good humor, the quiet surroundings, and the clean, spacious room all made our motel stay pleasant. We could park right outside, too. The grounds could use more care: the lawn beside the canal would be lovely for an aperitif if it were cut and the tables were clean. Best to avoid the restaurant, though.

I came for lunch and a chance to swap stories, and left with a full stomach and plenty of memories. The couple were lovely, welcoming, funny, and quick-witted. Next time, I promise I'll book a room. Hello to Michel, Laurent, and Claudine!

The room was spacious and very pleasant for our July stay as a couple, and the bathroom had everything we needed. But eating here was an ordeal. There's no menu, so you get whatever is being served, and the food was bland and badly cooked. The owner seems better suited to something other than cooking. We couldn't order a bottle of wine either, unless we wanted the cheap local plonk. Enjoy the hotel, but steer clear of the restaurant.
