Domaine la Cabane - Les gîtes

The five holiday cottages at Domaine Les Genêts can suit families or groups of up to about 20 people. They're separate accommodations, but all share the same grounds. Three comfortable cottages, Gîtes "Les Genêts", sit side by side in a 19th-century farmhouse with its original limestone walls and roof beams. Each has a private terrace and garden beside the 12 by 6 metre pool. Across the field, Gîte "Les Sapins" is a converted farmhouse, with traditional stone floors and a private walled garden. Gîte "La Prairie" was converted from a barn in 2002 and opens onto wide, mown fields. Every cottage has a barbecue, television, garden furniture, and heating. WiFi is available on the grounds, though not in every room or gîte. Rentals are offered in peak season and outside it, either by the week or for a weekend. The grounds are lovely and spacious, and the whole property, with its several gîtes, is beautiful and well cared for. We spent a fantastic week at Gîte La Prairie, where we found everything spotless, well equipped, and laid out very nicely. The hosts were discreet and friendly, and quick to respond whenever we needed anything. The pool was a real treat in the heatwave, and even our two teenagers enjoyed the stay. We were also surprised by deer visiting on two separate occasions. Thanks for the little welcome gift, too. We'd highly recommend it.

I was there for just one night with friends, so there wasn't much time to take everything in. The cottage is on the small side, though the pleasant surroundings and pool were a real plus during the heatwave.
