The pool was a daily treat, with sunbeds beside it and hammocks tucked under the trees. In the evenings we could hear different owls while watching the stars, and there were birds around during the day too. We stayed six nights as a family and were happy as soon as we came up the long drive. Elsbeth came out to welcome us to the striking, authentic old building, and the view was beautiful. Inside, the gite had every comfort and was very well equipped, with fresh, lovely sheets and towels. We brought our bikes, so the nearby bread, small supermarket and restaurant were easy to reach, as were several wineries. We came home feeling completely recharged. Absolutely recommend it.

We loved the beautiful countryside and the sublime view, and the place was so restful. The building is gorgeous and very well looked after, and the rental has everything you need. This was our second year in a row, with our 18-month-old daughter. It suited us well: we could walk around, enjoy the lovely nature nearby, and use the secure pool. The hosts are charming and really attentive to us.

We wanted to leave right away during our four-night stay for July 14th, but fortunately we could go out in the morning and come back at night. The two bedrooms had no soul and practically no windows, and the bathroom was horrible and depressing. The sheets were rough and ugly, and there was no view from the cottage. Avoid it completely.

Getting bread each morning meant a bike ride to the village’s only café, and it became a real treat. There’s lots to do around here, too. We stayed in both Les Fours and Le Tonneau, and liked them both. Le Tonneau’s kitchen was a little smaller, but had everything. The gites were cozy, and the quiet took me a couple of nights to get used to. Even with other guests around, you barely heard or saw anyone. The pool and terrace had fantastic views, and we spotted deer wandering about each evening. The kids and I made a little cabin in the small woods. After day trips, the owners sometimes surprised us with grapes or plums from their garden. They’re very friendly and helpful whenever they can be.
