Villa Fani

The building itself is nice, but offering this room in winter is a real shame. I booked the family room for myself and my kids, aged 8 and 9, for December 31. It was 4 degrees Celsius when we arrived because the heat wasn't on. Even after five hours, the space heaters had only made the room barely comfortable. There was no WiFi, the room couldn't be locked from the inside, and the gate to the street wouldn't close. With nobody on site, the whole thing felt creepy. The mattress had no fitted sheet and the dishes were dusty. It really ruined our New Year's Eve. We woke up to a 5-degree room. The kids were so cold that I brought them into the main bed overnight, even though we were all sleeping in wool ski base layers. We turned off the space heater overnight because of the fire risk, leaving only the central heating and the small water heater, which obviously weren't working. When I called the support number yesterday, they blamed the cold on the cleaner not turning on the heat. But clearly this place just isn't suitable for winter. I expect a full refund.
