ibis budget Reims Thillois

The reception staff were super, and breakfast may have been the best we’ve had at an Ibis Budget. Everything was great, though the bed was a little small.

I booked the room for the wrong date by mistake and realized straight away. I know what the policy said, but they still refused any refund. A partial refund would have been a nice gesture, and I’d have changed the booking if they’d had availability for the date I needed. There was clearly no customer service here. I won’t be using Ibis hotels again.

The location was outside town, and even with the helpful, cheerful receptionist doing her best, I definitely wouldn’t recommend this place. The room was clean and nicely designed for its size, but it felt airless. The air conditioning was noisy, and with the windows open, the noise outside was bad too. The walls were flimsy, so we could hear everything from the other rooms. The bed linen was itchy, and there were only a few thin towels, with nothing provided to dry your face. The toilet paper was such poor quality it disintegrated while using it. This was absolutely one of the worst hotel rooms we’ve ever stayed in.

It’s basic, but clean and reasonably priced. The location is excellent for a stopover, and the historic Reims racetrack is within 5 mins.
