Le Clos Fleuri

A lovely four-course lunch for €12.

The restaurant was quite good, with quick service and fresh ingredients, but the rooms were disappointing and dated. There was hardly any water pressure in the bathroom, the pillows were uncomfortable, and the bedside lamps didn’t work. The stains on the bedside tables looked questionable. The breakfast room was very dirty, and damp had badly damaged the floor and toilet wall. Breakfast itself was nothing special, quite the opposite. Disappointed for a 2-star hotel.

I don’t usually post online reviews, but the service left me extremely disappointed. We spent one night at the hotel without electricity the whole time, and the toilet seat was broken. We agreed that they’d refund us by check for the breakfasts we hadn’t eaten, since the manager wouldn’t refund us in cash or by bank transfer. Three weeks later, I called to check whether the check had been sent. The person on the phone said she had “lost” my contact details and hadn’t sent it, and spoke to me in an arrogant tone.

I booked a night for June 7, 2025, and I’ll never go back. The room was filthy and smelled terrible. It’s old, there are no shutters, and the bathroom is ancient. The water pressure was so weak the shower barely came out of the showerhead. Avoid this place at all costs. It desperately needs renovation.
