L'escale Thoduroise

After a fishing competition, this was just the place we needed to unwind. The area is quiet and peaceful, and we enjoyed using the summer kitchen. The owners are so warm and welcoming, and the cake is absolutely divine. Pure bliss. If we get the chance, we'll gladly return to Didier and Mariya's. The owner was friendly when we arrived, but I came away disappointed. The beds varied a lot: the two rooms with two beds each had very hard, small beds, more suited to children, while the large bed in the other room was very soft and difficult to get out of. There were cobwebs and dust in the rooms, and the bathroom looks like limescale has taken over. The shower heads are so clogged that they barely spray. The toilets aren't suitable for someone with a small build. The TV was a bit of Russian roulette, sometimes two channels, sometimes none, sometimes several. I often got back at night and could have used a light to see where I was walking. The solar lights don't work. Maybe this place is better in summer, since the heating has to be turned off at night and switched back on just before 6 a.m. I can't recommend it.

The room has its own entrance, and the outdoor kitchen is very well equipped. The owner even lent us her personal utensils. There are a TV, foosball and ping-pong tables, and a very clean swimming pool. It was too cold for us to use the pool, so we'll have an excuse to come back :) The owners are very friendly.

The room was really well equipped, and the setting is beautiful and wonderfully quiet out in the countryside. The owners are absolutely charming and made us feel so welcome. The cake they served with coffee was delicious 😋😋. A huge thank you for everything. I highly recommend this place 👍👏👏👏👏. Colette and Marc
