Domaine De Maravant

I first knew Thollon-les-Mémises, formerly called "La Buissonnière," as a child on school holidays, with skis on and eyes full of wonder. There were laughs, snowy slopes, and new friendships. It felt like its own little world where anything could happen. A few years later I came back as a summer camp staff member. The mountains and friendly atmosphere still had that same magic, bringing back precious memories. Thollon-les-Mémises will always be a place I feel deep affection for, and a place of happiness. ❄️☀️

My stay as a child was incredible. The rooms were so comfortable, the food was delicious, and the staff were respectful and respectable. I highly recommend it.

The bedding was comfortable but noisy, and the place felt noisy in general because the sound insulation was poor. It was nice, but badly maintained. The bathroom was missing things like a toilet seat cover and shower curtain. The toilet kept running, apparently for a long time judging by the limescale in the bowl, and the taps were faulty. The automatic light sensor was blinding on nighttime trips to the toilet. Door handles were noisy, broken, or loose. The downstairs toilet was unfinished, with insulation showing, large gaps between two or three ceiling sections, and technical and ventilation ducts exposed.

We spent a birthday weekend at the resort and had a wonderful time. It was peaceful, with lots of space and useful facilities: a multi-sports court, accessible bar, foosball table, outdoor tables and benches, and a lovely terrace overlooking the mountains. The service was excellent and the value for money was perfect. Room maintenance could be better, though. Some toilets didn't work properly, and some showers were in bad shape or out of order. Thanks to the whole team. We'll keep this place in mind!
