Instant-Léman

The apartment is in a quiet, secure residence, and the garden gives you complete privacy from the neighbors. The owner is very attentive to guests’ well-being. It’s exceptionally well equipped, with bed linen and towels provided, a binder of activities, complimentary breakfast, and bicycles available to use. I highly recommend it!

I’d booked a rental at Instant Léman for June 28th, but I never stayed there because the person I was going to visit had a stroke. I tried to cancel on May 20th, more than a month ahead, and ask for a refund. The man I spoke to was very unpleasant and unsympathetic. He refused to refund me and then hung up.

For a one-night stay, there were several things we liked: parking near the apartment, the coded entry that worked for our late arrival, good quality bedding, the amenities on site, and the garden. The wine, champagne, and beer in the apartment were available for a very reasonable fee. A few things didn’t work for us. At 8 p.m. the apartment was only 15°C, with the thermostat off, and it didn’t reach 19°C until 5 a.m. The dog fee was 15 euros, and the rules say an additional amount may be taken from the deposit if there’s hair, on top of that fee. The shower flow was weak and there was no shower curtain. The deposit felt high. The price was 130 euros, which is more or less in line with other listings.

We were a family of four, a couple with two young children, and the apartment suited us well. It’s close to the town center, shops, and port. The place was very clean and fully equipped, and the owner was helpful and easy to communicate with. The sofa bed was uncomfortable, and I wish the garden had been better looked after. Some terrace paving stones were missing, which was inconvenient with children. Even so, we had a very pleasant stay.
