La Beguinais

The cottages have lovely decor, and the estate itself is a beautiful setting. We spent a week there with friends, and it turned into an unforgettable stay. Our hosts were so warm and kind, and were always around to help if anything came up. I'd definitely recommend it.

Those horses nearby really add to the peaceful feel of the place. My family and I spent the weekend at Domaine de la Béguinais for my birthday, enjoying both the cottages and the event space. The owners made us feel so welcome, and the setting is gorgeous, a real haven where it's lovely to stay. I'd recommend it without a second thought. You won't be disappointed.

The reception room is spacious and pretty, with loads of room for our group of 35. The cottages are comfortable and well equipped, and the location is beautiful. I even got to use the pool for a while, and the water felt quite pleasant despite the weather. Delphine was so friendly, welcoming, and understanding, which is rare and special. She really made the stay feel sublime. I celebrated my 60th birthday here, and everything was wonderful apart from the unfortunate weather. The butcher and bakery in Sel de Bretagne, 15 minutes away, are good places to support local businesses. The caterer delivers to the property, and the food was delicious and plentiful. I highly recommend this place.

We had a fantastic weekend, and that's what matters most. The estate is beautiful, the cottages are nicely decorated, and the rooms are very spacious. From previous reviews, they also seem to be very clean. We held my son's wedding there on the weekend of July 14th, and with a week of very high temperatures, nearly a heatwave, in the forecast, there really should have been proper parasols around the pool. The area around that magnificent pool has no shade, so 45 of us had to crowd under two small parasols, with the other one used for the buffet. Such a shame, especially with elderly people and children there. The sun loungers are great, but garden chairs around the pool would also be useful for a wedding. I wouldn't recommend booking in summer, even when it's only 25 degrees Celsius. The pool has a heat pump, which seemed purely decorative to me. Even in that heatwave the water was cold, so in what counts as normal Brittany weather, I can't imagine being able to enjoy the pool properly. This isn't meant as a criticism, just an observation that might help improve an already wonderful place. They warned us so much about noise that I got the impression they were afraid of waking the horses, or themselves, since they sleep nearby. Still, they came to check on things around 3 a.m.
