The staff were genuinely helpful, and the hotel itself is cozy and quiet. Breakfast was good quality, though it didn’t change much from day to day. I also liked the sauna and indoor pool, and being able to buy a ski pass at reception was handy when the weather was unpredictable. Getting there can be tricky, especially after dark, since there’s no signage. It sits uphill from the bars and restaurants, about a 10-minute walk away, and the return climb is a bit of a workout. Parking was another struggle: there are only 6-7 very tight spaces, and even our Peugeot 2008 was hard to maneuver. The ski room is tiny. Two couples made it feel crowded, there’s barely space for two snowboards and boots, and nowhere to hang helmets or gloves. The pool and sauna also feel cramped if anyone else is there. There’s no proper bar on site, just hot and soft drinks, and the full amenities, including a bar, outdoor pool, and Jacuzzi, are at the sister hotel a 1-2 minute walk away. That’s inconvenient at night. We tried both sister hotel restaurants, La Chaumière and La Place, and found them awful and overpriced. This isn’t really ski-in/ski-out either. It takes at least 5 minutes on foot to reach a small slope that leads to the main lifts, and the nearest slope is another 5-minute walk back on the return.

The front desk staff were kind, which was the one bright spot. The room had cobwebs and was dirty, and the plates and utensils were dirty too. Breakfast was underwhelming, and the hotel is out of the way, on the far side of Tignes 2200. We checked out early because the stay was unsatisfactory, but they wouldn’t refund us. The amenities, including the restaurant and spa, are all off the property. This felt like a 2-star hotel pretending to be 4-star.

The room was a highlight: a lovely deluxe king with a great view and a really comfortable bed. The shower was a little small but easy to use, and breakfast was amazing. Those were the best sausages I’ve had outside the UK. Staff were very friendly, the price was good for early season, and I’d happily stay again. It’s about a 10-minute walk downhill to the main drag, though getting back up is a bit of a hike. The car park is especially tight, and arriving after 10pm made check-in a bit of a hassle. Still, I’d highly recommend the hotel.

We had a nice room and a good breakfast, and the location worked well for us. Ski access was good, the parking was convenient, and the ski locker was well organised. The only issue was that the boot-heating system in the ski locker room wasn’t working and needs fixing.

The pool and sauna were great after skiing, breakfast had lots of options, and the hotel was lovely with welcoming staff. At L’Aigle, having just one key for both the room and boot locker was a pain. Leaving it at reception might work in theory, but reception isn’t always open. Keypads or combination locks in the boot room would make things much easier, especially when people sharing a room aren’t always together. We were half board, but at La Place the starter choice was basically soup or soup. It came across as a way to push guests into paying for a starter outside the half-board menu. And when we did order from the other menu, we had to pay the full price, not just a supplement. For example, soup at €8 and a smash burger at €23 were covered on the half-board menu, but if I skipped the starter and chose the Joue De Bouef at €29, I had to pay the entire €29. Supplement pricing would feel fairer.
