Langley Hotel Tignes 2100

The location is hard to beat: restaurants, ski hire, lifts, and the ski pass office are all within a 5-minute walk. We booked the suite with the private hot tub, and it was worth every penny. The view was stunning, the tub was a perfect 40 degrees, and the room was huge, with high ceilings, a living area, and two TVs. The restaurant food was good, and breakfast had a good range, though it could have been served warmer. The staff were friendly and really helpful. It was nice chatting with them, as many were young people from around the continent travelling, working, and skiing for the season. The one thing I’d improve is the central heating in the suite: it should stay on 24/7, since the room got cold in the middle of the night. Maybe that’s because of the whole wall of terrace windows and a boiler on a timer. I’d pack warm PJs just in case. I’d stay again in a heartbeat. Loved it.

The ski-in/ski-out access was convenient, and the ski locker room was perfectly placed. Rooms were clean and comfortable, and the food was great. What really made it special was how warmly the staff welcomed us every time we came through the door. They always offered service when we sat down and made a point of asking about our day, which felt thoughtful and genuine. I’ll definitely be back for an early-season ski trip next year. Hope the whole team has a great season!

The spa felt neglected, with a strong smell of sweat and feet in the steam room, which made it impossible to use. Charging so much for a single hour only makes sense if the facilities are pristine. Housekeeping also ignored explicit requests to replace the towels, even though fresh linens should be provided when asked. Dining was very poor. We were served undercooked Carbonara, and the breakfast scrambled eggs were watery and tasteless. Offering only basic filter coffee to guests felt incredibly cheap. Throughout the stay, service was consistently subpar, especially from management. Staff were unwelcoming and dismissive, with little sense of hospitality. In such a prime location, I expected a much higher standard. Langley Tignes came across less like a hotel and more like a cost-cutting exercise at the guest’s expense. I hope this feedback is taken seriously so others don’t have the same frustrating experience.

The food was fantastic, and the hotel is just a short walk from a chairlift or gondola. Rooms were cleaned daily and bar service was superb. Great hotel, and I’ll definitely return.
