Premiere Classe Reims Ouest - Tinqueux

I've stayed here twice during a long journey and wasn't disappointed either time. It's a smart, safe, quiet, and cheap place, especially good for business travelers and motorcyclists. The standard rooms are clean and quiet, the staff are really nice, and parking felt safe for vans, cars, and motorbikes. I recommend it. You'll sleep well.

It's a very cheap budget hotel, so expectations have to be modest. The room was surprisingly clean given the messy surroundings, though maintenance seemed minimal and everything looked dated and tired. The hotel sits in a dark part of the outskirts of Rheims, and it smelled strongly of fish in the evening, probably from someone cooking in the kitchen. That wasn't pleasant. Still, I was tired and slept well. We skipped breakfast and went to Ange instead.

At 3:42 am I had to leave the hotel and sleep in my car because of bedbugs. I have bites all over my arms, legs, and face. I woke up itchy and found at least ten large bugs in the bed, which I killed, leaving my blood on the sheets. There were old blood stains along the sides too, where other bugs had apparently been killed before. This looks like a problem the hotel has refused to deal with. Hotels should have a pest control contract for regular fumigation, and that's not something to skimp on. I would give this place no stars if Google let me. I chose a cheap hotel because the outskirts of Reims have inexpensive places with parking, and I had a bike on the roof, so a city center multi-story car park wasn't an option. I expected a very basic room, and the simple setup and tiny window were fine since I only needed somewhere to rest during a long drive. But I can't accept an infestation and being eaten alive. Don't stay here!

Basic but comfortable B&B, with breakfast as an option. My room had a comfortable double bed, a shower in the bathroom, a TV, and a side desk and chair. It suited me as a solo traveler. Reception staff were polite and friendly. The hotel is within easy reach of local shops and just a few miles from Reims, though it sits in the middle of an industrial area.
