Hotel Lilium Maris

This doesn’t feel like a 4* hotel. It was really run down, and the sea-view room we reserved felt more like a closet. The receptionist said rooms in the same privilege plus category don’t all look alike. The one shown in the photos has big windows and real views. Ours looked really sad.

The hotel is very run down, and there’s a long wait at reception. Wi-Fi didn’t work in the hotel, and neither did the ventilation or air conditioning. There was no shower curtain or glass, so the whole bathroom got wet. A bird’s nest above our balcony left it covered in bird poo. Staff hosed down the glass railing while cleaning it, soaking everyone who walked underneath. DO NOT STAY HERE.

The receptionist was awfully unkind, and the hotel was a huge disappointment. It’s called a four-star hotel, but it hardly feels like one. Wi-Fi didn’t work, and one of the two room terraces was dirty, with cigarettes and plastic cups. The doors in both rooms wouldn’t open all the way. Extra blankets smelled like piss and had lumps of hair on them. Horrible place.

The place was clean and comfortable, with a lovely view from the terrace. The receptionist was kind, and the restaurant food was delicious.
