Le Mas de Torreilles

It’s a family-friendly, quiet spot, and much calmer than the nearby campsites, which could be a plus or minus depending on what you like. Torreilles beach is 1.5 km away, with a snack bar by the pool and several other restaurants nearby. The staff are very friendly, and both the accommodation and pool are clean. The units are fairly spacious. There are no parasols around the pool, though.

We stayed between Christmas and New Year. The house was clean, the bedding comfortable, and the appliances worked perfectly. There was everything we needed to cook. When the fridge caused a problem, we reported it at reception and someone came to the house. It was fixed within ten minutes, so the staff were very responsive. The property is charming, with several holiday homes, and is well placed between Spain and Barcarès. The Barcarès Christmas market is ten minutes away, and the Spanish border is a half-hour drive. You can rent here with confidence!

We loved it, especially for our dogs. Our pitch was fenced and was a real “dog beach.” The woman at reception was lovely, so we booked two weeks for this summer.

The one bright spot was Didier, who manages the Attrape Rêve Swim Club. Otherwise, this was a horrible and very expensive week. There weren’t enough staff, activities were poorly organized, and our house for 4-6 people had only five beds, one short of what we needed. There were ants throughout the house, and the cleaning was poor. I made a list of around ten broken or non-working things, but I doubt they’ll be fixed. The clientele was unpleasant too, with people swimming fully clothed and playing loud music. Isabelle, the manager, did nothing about it. This was my first and definitely my last time at this resort.
