La Maison Favart

The breakfast was spot on, and the hotel sits in a great position. We spent two nights here with my wife and loved this comfortable, unpretentious place. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Special mention to Freddy from Dominican Republic, who knows every bus and train route in Paris. We’d stay here again if we return to Paris.

The hotel has a lot of character, and I truly enjoyed my stay. The staff are warm, helpful, and the service is incredible. It’s in a convenient, safe area, too. I’d come back in a heartbeat and can’t wait to return.

After looking forward for 35 years to visiting Paris, experiencing the culture, and meeting local people, my trip got off to a disappointing start at the hotel. My fiancé and I arrived around 1 AM on October 22, 2025, after a grueling 15-hour flight. The front desk gentleman wasn’t as courteous as we expected. He insisted on a deposit of more than $1,500, despite our explaining that we had a reservation and had paid in full. I contacted Booking.com to help resolve it, and their agent called the hotel. The employee hung up on them, saying he was too busy and needed to eat. Given what we paid for four nights, I expected better customer service. I try to treat people respectfully, so I was profoundly disappointed by how we were treated. I hope the staff reflect on this and improve their service.

We liked it so much that we added three days to our trip, and this hotel was a big reason why. The staff were incredible, from the check-in team to the night staff. If we’re in Paris again, we’ll book here.
