Hôtel Mercure Toulouse Sud

The hotel is perfectly situated for our trips to Rangueil Hospital Toulouse, with the cable car directly opposite. The staff are excellent, friendly and professional. They always ask how we are when we arrive, which feels especially welcoming because these treatment trips aren’t something we look forward to. This time Carlos greeted us by name, asked how we were, and wished us a Happy New Year and good health. He checked us in promptly and asked if we needed anything else during our stay. We had to leave early in the morning, and check-out was just as quick and efficient. The rooms are always exceptionally clean. We’re grateful to all the staff for their continuing kindness.

Joao welcomed us warmly, and we felt at home from the start. We only stayed one night, but thought the hotel was good value. The car park was empty, though the hotel itself seemed to have few guests, so I can imagine parking could become an issue if it sold out. I’d definitely stay again.

The room was small but acceptable. Getting into the hotel at night was awkward: it was gated, and I had to buzz, but there were no signs showing where to do that. Breakfast costs €5 and the selection is mostly scrambled eggs, sausage, hash browns, bacon, and ham, things I could buy at a shop for that price. There’s no salmon, fried eggs, or vegetables, which I’d expect at a three-star hotel, especially from one claiming four stars. I wouldn’t bother with it.

We slept really comfortably, and the breakfast had lots of tasty options to choose from. The staff were attentive and kind, too. We had a very positive stay.
