I only nearly slept here on the way back from a wedding trip around the area. The room was filthy, smelled bad, and had bedbugs everywhere. Even the door keypad was coming away from the wall, so anyone could have pulled it off and opened the door. I left straight away and tried to get a refund, but the person on the phone berated me and told me to come back. I ignored them and found another hotel. Worst hotel in the world.

I stayed for five days, and my room was never cleaned. I ended up changing the sheets myself after spotting the janitor's trolley in the corridor. The rooms smelled, and noise from other guests carried late into the night. Music and noise from the corridors and reception went on past midnight. The place felt short on both hygiene and professionalism. I'd recommend paying a bit more for better service somewhere else.

After cycling 250 km, I got here hoping to shower and rest. At check-in, the receptionist, who seemed more like a handyman, couldn't find my reservation even though I'd paid in advance. The shared shower had only lukewarm water and weak pressure. Maybe I caught them on a day when everything went wrong, but calling this place a hotel seems a bit much.

I've been reluctant to leave such a negative review, but two quick trips to the continent led me to this Formula 1 hotel, after staying at the one in Loon Plage. At Tourcoing, the place is run down and badly needs attention. Noise from reception late in the evening and again from 5 a.m. is unacceptable. It doesn't come close to what Formula 1 used to be, or what I'd expect from a wing of the Accord group.

For the price, I wasn't expecting much, and that's pretty much what I got. The man on reception was very helpful, though, so extra stars for him. Wifi didn't work in our room.
